We believe in sustainable battery recycling

We need urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. The energy transition to reduce CO2 emissions is necessary and a materials transition is needed to meet demand for, for example, Li-ion batteries. Solutions are required to make these transitions sustainable.

Entrepreneurial, pragmatic and “can do” mentality.

Steven and Cyril know each other since being PhD students in Extractive Metallurgy in Delft.
Steven has been working as an entrepreneur within corporate companies for battery recycling, battery products and energy.
Cyril has been working in R&D and pilot plants, for example hydrometallurgical processing of alkaline batteries, rare earths and precious metals. 
Pieter has a financial background and has been involved with many startup companies and enjoyed liveliness and highly motivating atmosphere.

Proven technical concepts

  • Creating capacity to process black mass of end-of-life batteries. Local production of critical raw materials. 
  • Technology that is flexible and can process a mix varying by chemistry (LCO, NMC, LFP, NCA, LMO, LTC).
  • No direct CO2/NOx emissions, a unique process with internal recycle of water AND reactants. 
  • Closed loop, producing products that can go back into Li-ion batteries. Back-to-Battery! 

Our process is flexible and adaptable, ready for the requirements of the European Battery Regulation!
